Born in Bondoukou in 1968, he served in the armed forces of Ivory Coast and rose to the rank of Colonel-Major. He was formerly a zone commander in the Forces Nouvelles de Côte d’Ivoire, where he oversaw Korhogo, and was appointed to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Ivory Coast by President Alassane Ouattara in 2011.
At the time of his death, he commanded the Second Military Region in Daloa.
