Born in Piraeus on November 6, 1939, and raised in Keratsini, she became one of the most popular Greek performers of the 1960s. She appeared in numerous films, including 19 productions from Finos Film, and was also known for her work on stage and television.
Karagianni studied dance and began performing at the age of 8 with the Greek National Opera as part of Loukia Sakellariou-Kotsopoulou’s children’s ballet. She was also known as Martha Karayanni.
