Lubomír Šik, a Czech regional historian, died on March 5, 2026.
Born in Litovel on February 2, 1928, he graduated from the industrial school in Šumperk in 1949 after World War II. He later worked in the Křižík turntable production company in Litovel, and in addition to his job he devoted himself to theatre.
After retiring at the beginning of 1989, he published his first book, dedicated to the history of his former employer, Tesla Litovel. His publication, History of Gramophone Production in Litovel, appeared on the occasion of the company’s 40th anniversary in a very limited first edition.
Lubomír Šik (2 February 1928 – 1 March 2026) was a Czech regional historian.
