Ceci, an American judge and justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court from 1982 to 1993, died on January 27, 2026. He was 98.

A lawyer, jurist and Republican politician, Ceci served eight years as a Wisconsin circuit court judge in Milwaukee County before joining the state’s highest court. He also represented northern Milwaukee County in the Wisconsin State Assembly during the 1965 session. Born in New York City on September 10, 1927, he later moved to Milwaukee, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and earned his law degree from Marquette University.

Louis John Ceci (September 10, 1927 – January 27, 2026) was an American lawyer, jurist and Republican politician. He was a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court from 1982 through 1993, after serving eight years as a Wisconsin circuit court judge in Milwaukee County. Ceci previously represented northern Milwaukee County in the Wisconsin State Assembly during the 1965 session.
