
Lorraine Cheshire, an English actress known for roles in Trollied, Ackley Bridge and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, died on December 19, 2025, aged 65.
Born in Wythenshawe, Manchester, on 15 August 1960, she began acting at the age of 35 and trained at the Arden Drama School in Manchester before joining the Manchester Actors Company. She made her professional debut in Cranford and went on to appear in Early Doors as Joan Bell, Waterloo Road as Fleur Budgen, and Ackley Bridge as Lorraine Bird.
From 2011 to 2018, she played Sue Benson in Trollied, appearing in all seven series and the specials.
