George, Utah, he was a banking and finance graduate of the University of Utah. McMullin also served as a general authority of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints starting in 1995 and was second counselor in the church’s presiding bishopric from 1995 to 2012, when he became an emeritus general authority. His career included work as an investment and financial analyst for Ford Motor Company, management of several small businesses, and election in 2016 as chairman of the board of governors for the Salt Lake Chamber.
