Kapila Chandrasena, a Sri Lankan businessman and former chief executive of SriLankan Airlines, Mihin Lanka and Mobitel, died on May 8, 2026.
He was a Sri Lankan airline and telecommunications executive who also served as chief marketing officer of Sri Lanka Telecom. Chandrasena led SriLankan Airlines until March 2015.

Prior to this role, he served as the CEO of Mihin Lanka and Mobitel. He also served as the chief marketing officer of Sri Lanka Telecom.
