Kapila Chandrasena, a Sri Lankan businessman and former chief executive of SriLankan Airlines, died on May 8, 2026.
He previously served as chief executive of Mihin Lanka and Mobitel (Sri Lanka), and also held the post of chief marketing officer of Sri Lanka Telecom. Chandrasena studied at Royal College, Colombo, and earned a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Chicago and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne.
