Born in American Fork, Utah, on January 11, 1988, he went on to play college football for the Memphis Tigers after attending American Fork High School, where he was active in the band and baseball before continuing his football career. Devey entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens and later played offensive guard for the Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Chiefs and Oakland Raiders.
