Jean-Bosco Tchagolé, priest of the Diocese of Sokodé and a Togolese Catholic cleric, died on May 27, 2026.
He served in pastoral ministry in northern Togo and was known for his academic work in canon law. Ordained on July 12, 1980, in Alédjo in the Diocese of Sokodé, he went on to hold several responsibilities within the Catholic Church in Togo, including serving as parish priest of Christ Lumière du Monde in Kpangalam from 1990 to 1995.
In 1987, he defended a canon law thesis at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome titled “La conception de la stabilité du mariage chez les Temba du nord-Togo comparée à la doctrine de l’Église.”
