Born in Montreal, he became one of the most familiar voices in Canadian baseball, broadcasting Montreal Expos games throughout the team’s existence from 1969 to 2004. He later called Québec Capitales games from 2006 to 2010 before joining TVA Sports as the French-language play-by-play voice of the Toronto Blue Jays in 2011, a role he held until his retirement in 2022.
Before his long broadcasting career, Doucet worked as a translator for The Canadian Press and as a sports journalist for La Presse.
