Born in Kassel on September 30, 1947, he made his name as a defender and later moved into coaching, building a long association with KSV Hessen Kassel. In 1983, he also played for the Calgary Mustangs in the Canadian Professional Soccer League.
Brück first took on a managerial role as a player-coach in the 1987–88 season and returned for several further spells over the years. After KSV Hessen Kassel’s financial collapse in 1997, he helped with the club’s re-foundation work, including efforts to secure sponsorship and rebuild its youth structures.
