Herbert Dixon, an American golfer who won the National Negro Open in 1951 and played on the African American circuit during segregation, died on August 21, 2026, aged 106.

Dixon competed in professional golf in the 1940s and 1950s, earned recognition as a member of the Black Players Hall of Fame, and was later inducted into the African-American Golfers Hall of Fame in 2012. He also was inducted into the Polk County Sports Hall of Fame in 2019, and a tournament was held in his honor that same year.

Dixon learned the game and caddied at Bartow Golf Course, served in the Air Force during the Truman administration, and was active as an NAACP leader in Bartow, Florida.
