Known also as Fernando, Fernando Guisini, Fernando Nariz and Fernando Narigudo, he was born on March 8, 1954, in Lençóis Paulista. A centre-back, he began his career at Comercial de Ribeirão Preto before establishing himself at Santos FC, where he made 256 appearances and won the São Paulo state championship in 1978.
He later played for Londrina EC, helping the club to the state title and the Série B championship in 1980. His career also included spells with Náutico, Athletico Paranaense and Guarani, along with clubs in the interior of São Paulo state.
