Denis Wilson, the English footballer who played as a full-back for Stoke City in the Football League, died on February 28, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born in Bebington, Cheshire, on April 30, 1936, he began his football career in Wrexham’s youth team and later played for Rhyl after leaving in 1955. He joined Stoke City in 1958.
Wilson later lived in Chester, where he ran a pet shop, and died there.
