A research scientist in oncology, she led Alberta’s Cross Cancer Institute from 2003 to 2010 and served as Canada Research Chair in oncology at the University of Alberta. Cass was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
