Carlos Oliva, a Peruvian economist who served as director of the Central Reserve Bank from 2015 to 2016 and again from 2021, died on May 27, 2026, at the age of 61.
He was also Peru’s minister of economy and finance from 2018 to 2019. Born on December 16, 1964, he studied at Georgetown University and the Universidad del Pacífico.
Oliva died in Lima.
