Marion Kozak, the Polish-born British activist, died on May 27, 2026, aged 91.
Born in Częstochowa in 1934 as Dobra Jenta Kozak, she left Poland for the United Kingdom in the 1950s and later became known as a human rights defender. She studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science and in 1961 married Ralph Miliband, the political theorist.
The couple had two sons, David Miliband and Ed Miliband, both of whom went on to prominent careers in British politics.
