Born Bruno Emanuel Betancor Baeza in Montevideo on December 18, 2003, he developed as a player in Uruguay before advancing through the youth ranks of Fénix and joining Peñarol’s under-19 side in June 2022. He made his professional debut the following year in a Primera División match against Liverpool on March 25, and later went on loan to Rentistas in the Segunda División.
In 2024, he also spent time in Chile with Everton de Viña del Mar on a season-long loan that included an option to buy.
