Brian Clouston, the British landscape architect, died on May 14, 2026.
He was 91. James Brian Clouston OBE was the founder of Brian Clouston and Partners, a landscape architecture practice that became one of the largest in Europe.
Trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh and the University of Newcastle, he began his professional career at Durham Council in 1960 before establishing his own firm in 1965. Clouston later served as president of the Landscape Institute, the UK professional body for landscape architecture.
