Anik Dutta, the Indian film director behind Bhooter Bhabishyat, Ashchorjyo Prodeep and Meghnad Badh Rahasya, died on May 27, 2026, after a fall.
He was a Bengali filmmaker whose directorial debut came with Bhooter Bhabishyat in 2012. Dutta also worked as a screenwriter and was known for films including Aparajito.
Born in Kolkata, he studied at Patha Bhavan.
