André Pronovost, a Canadian ice hockey player who spent parts of his career with the Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings, died on September 8, 2026, aged 90.

Born in Shawinigan, Quebec, on July 9, 1936, he played professional hockey in the National Hockey League and other North American leagues from 1955 to 1972. Pronovost was a member of four Stanley Cup-winning Montreal teams in the 1950s, including the Canadiens’ championship runs from 1956–57 through 1959–60.
