Allan Thigo, a Kenyan footballer who played as a midfielder for Gor Mahia and the national team, died on May 9, 2026.
Born in Kenya, he began his club career with Kisumu Hot Stars at age 18 before spending most of his playing years with Gor Mahia F.C. He helped the club reach the final of the 1979 African Cup Winners’ Cup.
Thigo made 81 appearances for the senior Kenya national football team, including two FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, and played at the 1972 African Cup of Nations finals.
