Alexander Held, a German actor known for roles in Der Untergang, Sophie Scholl – Die letzten Tage and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex, died on May 12, 2026, at age 67.
Born in Munich on October 19, 1958, he trained at the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts in Munich and later joined the Munich Kammerspiele. He made his first television film appearance in 1993 in Morlock and went on to appear in numerous film and television productions, including Schindler’s List and the Sat.1 series Der Bulle von Tölz.
