Born on November 13, 1937, in Brittany, France, he joined the Assumptionists in 1966 and later taught at the Catholic University of Toulouse. In 1999, he moved to Jerusalem, where he lived among the Assumptionists at the Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu while teaching at the École Biblique and Ecce Homo.
In 2001, he published a Bible translation with Florence Delay.
