Born in Milwaukee on March 19, 1933, Parry became known as a pioneer in scuba diving and underwater photography, and was once described as “California’s underwater queen without a rival in sight.” She also appeared in film and television work including Kingdom of the Sea, Sea Hunt and Tillamook Treasure.
Parry was one of seven children and later studied dramatics at UCLA after early experience as a swimmer and touring water-show performer.
