R. Muthu, an Indian businessman and chief executive officer of Idhayam oil, died on March 5, 2026.
He was born on October 6, 1953, and grew up in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. Muthu attended K.V.S. Higher Secondary School and St. Joseph College, and later earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from M.M.K. College in Mumbai. His father, V. V. V. Rajendran, founded Idhayam oil in 1986.
