Thakkali Srinivasan, an Indian film director, musician and producer known for Tamil films, died on March 10, 2026.
He was 72. Born in 1953 or 1954, he worked on films often centered on horror or murder mystery plots.
Srinivasan began his career as a producer with the science fiction film Nalaya Manithan (1989), directed by Velu Prabhakaran, and later produced its sequel, Adhisaya Manithan (1990). He also composed music as part of the Premi–Srini duo. In 2001, he directed Asokavanam, a murder mystery starring Livingston, Sriman and Riyaz Khan. He later worked on Satrumun Kidaitha Thagaval (2009), but was replaced midway through production.
