Terry Don Phillips, an American college athletics administrator and former Clemson Tigers athletic director, died on May 26, 2026.
He served as athletic director at Liberty Baptist College, now Liberty University, from 1980 to 1981, at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, from 1983 to 1988, at Oklahoma State University from 1995 to 2002, and at Clemson University from 2002 to 2012. Phillips also played defensive tackle at Arkansas from 1966 to 1969, then remained there as a graduate assistant for two seasons before joining the coaching staff at Virginia Tech.
He later returned to Arkansas in 1988 as senior associate athletic director.
