Born in Rumaithiya on October 1, 1943, he was also known as Sami Mohammad Ahmed Saleh. His best-known works included the Box series, Sabra and Chantila, Hunger and Mother.
In 1971, he was commissioned to create a statue of Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah. Mohammad studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University, and his work was shown at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013, when Kuwait took part in the event for the first time.
