Born Rosemary Anne Crumlin in Sydney, she was a Sister of Mercy, art historian, educator and exhibition curator whose work focused on art and spirituality. She was also known for her promotion and understanding of contemporary and religious art, and received the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2001 Queen’s Birthday Honours for service to the visual arts, education and the community.
