Robert Parizeau, a Canadian businessman who led the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, died on June 2, 2026, in Montreal.
He was 90. Born in Montreal on November 7, 1935, he studied business at HEC Montréal and went on to serve as president of the board of directors of the labour-sponsored investment fund.
Parizeau also sat on the board of Power Corporation of Canada. The son of businessman Gérard Parizeau, he was named an Officer of the National Order of Quebec and received honorary degrees from the Université de Montréal and Université Laval.
