Robert Irving, the Canadian industrialist and co-CEO of J.D.
Irving, died on May 19, 2026, at the age of 71 after cancer. Based in Moncton, New Brunswick, he was responsible for several businesses within the Irving Group of Companies with operations across North America.
He also served as president of Irving Tissue, Cavendish Farms and the Moncton Wildcats, and was co-chief executive officer of Midland Transport and president of Midland Courier.
