He made 11 career starts in the 2001 and 2002 seasons, including the 2002 Indianapolis 500. The son of Fred Treadway, owner of Treadway Racing, he later returned to competition in the Indy Legends Charity Pro–Am race from 2014 to 2018, with his best finish coming in 2014.
Treadway graduated from Indiana State University and later worked in business development, as a commercial pilot for his own charter air service and as a flight instructor.
