Péter Scherer, a Hungarian actor, died on May 19, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born in Ajka on November 16, 1961, he studied at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, graduating in 1987. He was a member of the Arvisura Theatre Company from 1984 to 1994, worked as a freelance actor from 1995, joined the Bárka Theatre in 1997, and became a member of the Krétakör Theater in 2002.
His film roles included Pepe in Miklós Jancsó’s The Lord’s Lantern in Budapest, as well as appearances in Kontroll, One Day in Europe, Doll No. 639 and Carlos.
