Peter Leaver, a British barrister and judge, died on September 2, 2026, aged 81.
Known in full as Peter Lawrence Oppenheim Leaver, KC, he served as chief executive of the Premier League from 1997 to 1999 and spent many years in One Essex Court. Educated at Aldenham School and Trinity College Dublin, he went on to serve as a deputy High Court judge from 1994 to 2017 and later chaired the London Court of International Arbitration from 2008 to 2012.
He was also the father of publishing executive Marcus Leaver.
