Norbert Kartmann, a German politician and longtime member and president of the Landtag of Hesse, died on May 23, 2026.
He was 77. A member of the Christian Democratic Union, Kartmann served in the Landtag of Hesse from 1982 to 2022 and was its president from 2003 to 2019.
