Born Martin J. Sammon on October 14, 1977, in Chicago, he became known on the Chicago blues scene for his energetic performances, improvisation and command of ragtime and traditional blues styles.
Active from 1993, he appeared on commercially released DVDs, television broadcasts in the United States and Europe, and Grammy Award-winning albums. Sammon also wrote Blues Keyboard Method, published by Hal Leonard in 2015 with a foreword by Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell. He died in New Orleans.
