Margarita Andrey, a Spanish actress known for films including They Always Return at Dawn, His Heart Awake and Devil’s Roundup, died on July 15, 2026.
She was 99. Born in Madrid on September 19, 1926, Andrey worked in film from 1946 to 1969 and became one of the female leads in Spanish cinema during the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Her career was centered on the screen, where she appeared as a leading actress in a number of productions over more than two decades.
