Malcolm Menin, the English bishop who served as Bishop of Knaresborough from 1986 to 1997, died on July 8, 2026, aged 93.
Born Malcolm James Menin on September 26, 1932, he was educated at the Dragon School and University College, Oxford before training for ordination at Cuddesdon College, Oxford. After curacies in Portsmouth and Fareham, he was appointed vicar of St James the Less, Pockthorpe, in 1962, a parish with which he remained closely associated for much of his life.
He later became Rural Dean of Norwich in 1981 and was appointed an honorary canon in 1982.
