Lyudmila Chursina, the Russian actress known for “Virineya,” “A Little Crane” and “The Andromeda Nebula,” died on June 10, 2026, at age 84.
Born Lyudmila Alexeyevna Chursina on July 20, 1941, in Velikiye Luki in the Russian SFSR, Soviet Union, she appeared in more than 50 films and television productions over a career that began in 1961. Her screen work also included “The Shield and the Sword” and “When the Trees Were Tall,” and in 1981 she served on the jury of the 12th Moscow International Film Festival.
