Known in the industry as Uncle Choi, he worked at TVB as both a producer and a production manager in the drama production department. Born in British Hong Kong on December 7, 1950, he studied at Hong Kong Baptist University.
His career in television began in 1975, when he joined TVB as a trainee scriptwriter and researcher for Enjoy Yourself Tonight. After time at RTV and CTV, he returned to TVB in 1978 and later produced series including Form 4 Class D, which won a Bronze Award at the New York Festivals.
