Larry Walker, an American politician who served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1973 to 2005, died on June 9, 2026.
He was 84. Born Lawrence Cohen Walker Jr.
on March 9, 1942, in Macon, Georgia, he represented his district in the state House for sixteen terms and held leadership posts there, including administration floor leader for Gov. Joe Frank Harris in 1983 and House Majority Leader in 1986. Walker earned his degree at the University of Georgia and was known later as a longtime legislative figure in the state.
