John H.

Morrison, an American lawyer and senior partner of Kirkland & Ellis, died on March 11, 2026. He practiced at the Chicago law firm from 1962 until his retirement in 1999, working in antitrust and trade regulation, including civil and criminal litigation, product liability and general business litigation.

Morrison also served as president of the Association of American Rhodes Scholars. After retiring from private practice, he continued an active arbitration practice, which began around 1968, and arbitrated 17 significant commercial cases from 1990, often under AAA commercial rules.

John Horton Morrison (September 15, 1933 – March 12, 2026) was an American lawyer who was a senior partner of the law firm Kirkland & Ellis (retired 1999) and President of the Association of American Rhodes Scholars.
