Richard Wuest, an American pharmacist and professor at the University of Cincinnati, died on September 24, 2026, aged 88. He joined the university’s James L.

Winkel College of Pharmacy in the 1960s and became one of the early faculty members to help broaden clinical pharmacy education in Ohio. Wuest also played a key role in developing the modern colored auxiliary warning label system used on medicines, and in 1982 he wrote a study on drug safety. He retired in 2001.
