Henry Moore, English Anglican cleric and bishop of Cyprus and the Gulf, died on December 16, 2025, aged 102.
Known commonly as Harry Moore, he was the second bishop of the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf, serving from 1983 to 1986. Born on November 2, 1923, he began his working life as a clerk with the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, served in the armed forces during the Second World War, and was ordained in 1951 after studying at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford.
He later worked as a missionary in Khuzistan, held incumbencies in Burnage and Middleton, and spent 16 years with the Church Missionary Society before returning to England and retiring in 1990.
