Early Voting, an American Thoroughbred racehorse, died of colic on October 20, 2026, aged 7.

Born on March 7, 2019, and bred in Kentucky by Three Chimneys Farm, he was a dark bay stallion and the third of five foals from his dam; he became her only stakes winner. His defining victory came in the 2022 Preakness Stakes, the second leg of the American Triple Crown.

He also won the Withers Stakes and finished second in the Wood Memorial, establishing a record that included two stakes victories and a runner-up finish in another major race. Early Voting was among the first crop of Gun Runner, the 2017 American Horse of the Year. At the 2020 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Triphammer Farm purchased him for $200,000 on behalf of Klaravich Stables, from the Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency consignment. Klaravich Stables owned him, Chad Brown trained him, and José Ortiz rode him in every start. After his racing career, Early Voting was retired. His best-known achievement remained the Preakness win, which placed him among the winners of one of American racing’s three Triple Crown races.
