Born Douglas Eugene Stahl on February 25, 1963, he competed on the independent wrestling circuit and gained his greatest recognition as one half of the masked tag team known as The Super Destroyers. The team became closely identified with Eastern Championship Wrestling, where Stahl and his partner were the first two-time ECW Tag Team Champions and held the title longer than any team before them.
Before entering professional wrestling, Stahl had been a Golden Gloves boxer, beginning the sport at age 14 under Dick Hess.
