Christian Breseghello, a French rugby union player for Stade Toulousain, died on August 27, 2026, aged 71.
Born in Mazères on January 23, 1955, he played for UA Saverdun from 1973 to 1979 before joining Stade Toulousain, where he remained until 1985. With the club, he won the Coupe de France in 1984 and the French Rugby Union Championship in 1985.
Breseghello also served on the municipal council of Saverdun from 1989 to 2020 and was deputy mayor for sports and community activities from 1989 to 2001.
