Chang Ung, a North Korean basketball player and sports administrator, died on March 28, 2026.

He was born on July 5, 1938, and served as president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation from 2002 to 2015, later becoming its honorary life president. Chang also represented North Korea as a member of the International Olympic Committee from 1996 to 2018, and later held honorary membership in the IOC.

He was identified in available records as a North Korean athlete and sports administrator.

Chang Ung (Korean: 장웅, 5 July 1938 – 29 March 2026) was a North Korean sports administrator and athlete. He was the honorary life president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, having previously served as its President from 2002 to 2015 following the death of General Choi Hong Hi from stomach cancer on 15 June 2002. Chang previously served as a member of the International Olympic Committee representing North Korea, and later served as an honorary member of the IOC.
