Robert Joseph Allen, an American basketball player who played for the San Francisco Warriors, died on December 9, 2025, at age 79.

Allen played in the National Basketball Association during the 1968–69 season, appearing in 27 games for the Warriors after being selected in the 1968 NBA draft. Born in Port Huron, Michigan, he attended St.

Stephen High School and later played at Marshall University on scholarship. As a junior, he was a second-team All-Mid-American Conference selection, and as a senior he led the league in rebounding with 14.2 per game. After being recruited by the Baltimore Bullets, he instead accepted a job with Ashland, Inc. in Kentucky and worked there for 36 years.

Robert Joseph Allen (July 17, 1946 – December 9, 2025) was an American professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the San Francisco Warriors during the 1968–69 season.
